About
Born as a response to the Covid19 Lockdowns the #HappyHeartBike is a bicycle powered rolling ball sculpture. It took 5 weeks to build during the first lockdown and then was ridden through 7 different local communities over the course of 7 weeks in and around Bristol, where I live.
I publicised the fact I was coming to a community through local Facebook groups and asked for requests for streets I should ride along. I then created a route map which included timings for when I was coming to each street so people could watch from their doorsteps. The response was overwhelmingly positive with often whole streets coming out to watch.
The #HappyHeartBike was featured on the BBC here and was also used as part of the STEAM Club Project with Déda and Rolls Royce.
